I have tried to explain to a lot of people what is magnificent about this ad. In fact, weirdly, there was a t-shirt in Top Shop which referenced it, leading me to need to do a lot of explaining. The problem is, and perhaps why this is such a classic, is that there’s no good reason. There’s nothing that funny about it. And, other than it’s nostalgia factor, the animation really has no merits. But, for no clear reason, I can’t get enough of it. And noting how many people bought that t-shirt, no one else can, either.
