Go Go Gadget Bama

April 7, 2010

So a while ago, New York Magazine did a fairly delightful History of Obama Feigning Interest in Mundane Things.   One intrepid blogger took these to show us what, in all fairness, Obama should be looking at: Awesome Things.

Why, yes, I did take the S.A.T.s

From NY Mag online’s look book:

What did you get on your SATs?
KEVIN: I got a perfect score.

That’s awesome!
KEVIN: I don’t ever bring it up. Because I’m sorry, but if someone brought up their SAT score with me four years after the fact, I’d judge them for it.

I only bring this up because a fourth year doctoral student defended a piece of trivia to me with the words: “I’m probably right.  I did really well on the GREs.  Like 1600 well.”  Really?  Man.  Lets be friends.

But only if you got a five on the writing section.  I don’t get beers with nimrods.

I’m not going to lie. I love to hate people.

I have been told many times that compassion is the most important thing in life.  I totally agree.  Really, I do.  I did go to Quaker school, after all.

But if I sit down and list out all my sins of that, say, hour, hatred will comes up trumps.

Okay, that’s not true.  But it is if I’ve spent the day reading New York Magazine’s look book (and, lets be honest, I spend a lot of days reading the Look Book.)  But as much as you can’t turn a corner on that site without finding someone worthy of your disdain, I think these two take the cake.

Read, and indulge in a little sin – they’re too rich to care, anyway.
