Every once in a while I feel a need to post something that I feel fairly certain you’ve already seen. Because part of me worries that in our reading audience is someone who hasn’t seen it, and that’s the kind of thing that really worries me and distracts me from my important wall-staring duties.
And before I post this, I want to say, I’ve never been fond of Paris Hilton before. But right now, I love the hell out of the girl:

On July 16, President Bush hosted the annual all-star tee ball game on the south lawn of the White House. Only this year, when he was presenting a ball to a little girl named Emily, she took off running and didn’t stop until she was far off of the field. Poor little thing! Now, I could make a crack here about how the president’s popularity has dropped so low that even children are fleeing…but I’m not going to. I’m going to be classy instead (for once in my life). After all, as a two year old I spent an entire morning screaming at the top of my lungs at Disney World because the mascots scared the bejebus out of me. I have no room to judge. But she’s a cute kid, and it’s a cute video. Kids do the darnedest things…
Also, I’m kind of jealous I wasn’t there. Kenny Chesney performed. And the president led the little ones in the recitation of the Little League Oath. That’s just adorable.
